Interested to know how alcohol has affected your wallet, and if quitting drinking has made your wallet thicker?
I recently did a run through of my statements and found out that I roughly spend around 9000$ a year on alcohol and all the related spending, Bolt, Uber, food, extra nicotine, etc. (I live in the country where alcohol is the most expensive in the world, hence the high number) not an alcoholic:) But serious binge drinker
I recently decided to quit alcohol due to certain health concerns.
Interested to hear about your extra savings from
Cutting out alcohol.
Thx

My wife and I only drink at home, and I only drink cheap beer/vodka. We probably spend $100 in an expensive month, around $50 avg, and $25 on a low month.
I ditched alcohol over 6 years ago. My savings are far healthier and I have upgraded things around my home and garden that I wouldn’t have considered before.
Ha! This one hurts. It’s my only vice, and my only financially irresponsible purchase.
Definitely been 5 figures over my lifetime, just a question of how high. Im 55, debt free, extremely frugal, and low 6figure net worth.
