Hi, I am a J-1 student who will be staying on Branson Missouri for the summer. job is very far away from housing (12 miles) and while job offers transportation, I wouldnt like to be tied to that, since I would like to have my own transportation so I can go around wherever I want. I honestly dont have any idea of what would be the best way to commute without spending a lot of money. uber is a no-no, a normal bike is something to consider but I don't see myself being able to do a 24 miles round-trip on a bike to be completely honest.
Best and cheapest way to commute 12 miles (each way) for 4 months?

A fast electric bike. Otherwise you’re looking at getting a car.
E-bike?
I’m confident that after a few weeks that bike ride will be a piece of cake, you’ll get to work in an hour and hardly break a sweat (well, it might be a little hot in the summer).
12 miles on a bike isn’t terrible if it’s flat. Bonus: no gym membership needed.
Not going to get any cheaper than a decent bike. Any day you don’t feel like biking the whole way just use the transportation they provide.
