I have tried to make egg roll wrappers from scratch, however it is very time consuming and doesn’t roll out easily. I like to make egg rolls from scratch but the wrappers are not worth it for me especially at 2.50 a package. Also, I have finally mastered yeast rolls and biscuits from scratch and do believe that saves a significant amount. In addition, I make beef enchiladas from scratch with homemade enchilada sauce. Tortillas are store bought.
What food item is easy to make from scratch and saves you a significant amount of money?

Street tacos in the air fryer, I’m obsessed with them. A street taco shell (soft, available in the Hispanic food aisle), a little shredded taco cheese and some chicken, and when it is done cooking put on a little pico and OMG, the best little taco in the world!
Bread; it’s soooo much easier and less expensive to buy an Ezekiel bread than make it
Soup is pretty cheap to make.
Soups and stews.
Healthy/breakfast muffins and banana bread. I often just put the ingredients in a nutribullet type thing and pour into a loaf or muffin tin. Blows my mind that people buy “muffin mix” for $7
Stocks. Whenever you have a chicken carcass, beef bones, ugly or leftover veggies, whatever, just throw it all in a crock pot with a bay leaf for 12 hours and get a gallon of stock for almost free.
Coffee. Just lol at people who buy $2+ cups of coffee.
