Now before you comment, yes, I know it’s cheaper to make your own burritos at home. But for those of us that enjoy Chipotle and don’t like paying Chipotle prices, this post is for you! Credit to YouTuber Anderson Nguyen for this idea!

What you do is instead of ordering a burrito, order the same ingredients but order the bowl and order 2-3 tortillas on the side (50c each tortilla). Make sure to order extra of the ingredients where there is no upcharge for getting extra, like extra cheese, extra sour cream, salsa etc (extra meat will run you $4-$5, so that’s up to you if you wanna do that too). The bowl you get will be HEAVY. Use the tortillas and your ingredients from the bowl to make your own burritos! I did this today and made two burritos which were roughly 2/3 the size of my wife’s burrito and still had over 1/3 of my bowl left!

So either you can pay $11ish for a regular sized burrito or pay $12-$12.50 (depending if you get 2-3 tortillas) and make yourself 3 burritos for roughly $4 a piece that taste exactly the same as a full sized and are almost as big 🙂

Edit: I haven’t tried the 1/2 1/2 meat trick, but I forgot to mention if you get 1/2 any meat 1/2 any other meat (like 1/2 chicken, 1/2 carnitas), you’ll essentially get 2 fullsized meat portions? So it’s like double meat for free? Someone who’s done this can verify this 😁

Great hack to get burritos from Chipotle for cheap!

Chipotle gets a lot of hate for being expensive, but considering it’s better quality than most fast food, and you can ask for more on most things, it’s really not that bad.

    2. Chipotle is on my sh*t list since the CEO made the announcement that the target customer made >$100K in the future and they went up on prices “because they could”. Talk about having an attitude problem.

    3. Qdoba provides some ingredients that chipotle charges for, all that’s coming to mind is guacamole.

My frugal trick at Qdoba is to get one taco and load it up. I don’t eat a ton, so the portion is more than ample.
