so I'm going to visit a friend at the other end of the country and we'll need to fly EasyJet from Glasgow. I'm only going for 5 days and I usually pack very light anyway but I just couldn't bring myself to pay 80 quid extra for a small cabin bag. so I messaged my friend and said hey. how would you feel if I posted you a few sets of clothes and then you post it back to me when I leave… 4 quid Royal Mail parcel each way job done.
genius or getting ridiculous? I would never do this if I was going abroad or even staying in a hotel (though suppose you could get the parcel sent to a drop off point near it?
Anyone posted their clothes in UK for a holiday?

That’s pretty clever! When flying with EasyJet, I usually bring my 30L rucksack with me on the plane under the pretense of putting it under the seat. I’m technically supposed to pay for it, as it is a cabin bag, but no-one ever stops me when I put it in overhead. I’ve done it about eight times without charge.
Not in the UK, but I’d probably lend you my extra winter coat or offer to take you to the thrift store if you needed boots or something. I can’t imagine you need too much for 5 days and you’ll assumingly have access to a washing machine there.
However, I have worked in retail and mailed things to hotels for people to pick up before. It usually ends up RTS and is annoying, I’d suggest general delivery or post office directly over hotels. (At least here in Canada)
My MIL whenever she comes to visit, she travels with just with carry on, hits the thrift store as soon as she arrives, stocks up, then if she finds enough stuff she likes, she’ll get a cheap bag and take it back, otherwise she donates it all back before she goes.
