It happened, I finally paid off all my loans and you can too!

Given this journey has been 14 years for me, I just wanted to announce into the ethos that I FINALLY PAID OFF ALL MY STUDENT LOAN DEBT!

My first reaction? Numbness. This has been 14 years of paying off over 90K total. If you are in student loan debt please know you can do this. I cried many nights, was even laughed at by student loan officers over the phone at times, went through breakups, pregnancy loss, job loss, you name it and I was probably going through it at one point.

All this to say, KEEP GOING. Do not let this system take you in and swallow you whole. Every day I told myself I would be released from the grasps of the likes of Sallie Mae, Navient, all those satanists. Don't let this system make you feel that your forever trapped. I have been in fight or flight mode for the last 14 years and now here I am feeling so numb to this journey. This was extremely difficult but I did it. Don't listen to those who think this debt is fine to carry. The amount it psychologically changes you is part of the cruelty of this system. You deserve to dream, to live, to plan out life in a way where you are not feeling paycheck to paycheck. I remember times I couldn't eat because Sallie Mae over-drafted my account before they were supposed to auto-debit my account.
