Rick Rule: Gold Price in War, Silver Strategy, Oil Stock Game Plan

Rick Rule of @RuleInvestmentMedia shares updates on his current strategy in the resource space, mentioning gold, silver, oil and agriculture. He also reminds investors to pay more attention to gold’s long-term underlying drivers than to current events.

“In my experience, what moves precious metals is people’s fear of the maintenance of their purchasing power in fiat-denominated instruments,” Rule explained. “The consequence of that — unfortunately I think those fears are real — is that my suspicion is over the next 10 years gold does fairly well, irrespective of geopolitics.”

    1. Please correct his mispronunciation of ebullient AGAIN AND AGAIN , not a 1st syllable accent, but on the 2nd syllable IF YOU’RE GONNE USE BIG WORDS, GET SOME HELP, Rick

    2. Rick only sold because he sees a better opportunity. He didn't say silver was bad. I would like his complete breakdown including risk he is taking. You know he is looking long term big picture. We would like to understand all the pluses and minuses for his decision.

    3. 🤔 At least mention that a little information can be invaluable, but mention it can also be the gallows.

If you’re trying to ride the coattails of billionaires, plan on going bankrupt first. They don’t wear top hats and starched collars smoking cigars, so they’re a little more difficult to identify.

This backgrounder will help with gold price suppression theories, where they originated and what the metastasized into. By now, I would say the skew in Treasury Bond prices probably means Wall St. gas their thumb on the scale.

    4. I have one question for Rick :

We shall love the hate, meaning that when the product is hated , we should buy the product at dirty cheap price.

If the logic holds here, shouldn’t we load up the US treasury bonds now, since we know the T bonds are the most hated asset.

    5. In my 20's — in the late 90's — I traveled up the Mexican coast from Acapulco to Mazatlan and then on to Cabo San Lucas. Mazatlan is in the Sinaloa state. It was the only bad city I visited : Dirty, dusty, sewage dumped right into the ocean from a sewage plant right next to the beaches (you could smell it), and Mexicans there just seemed to be of a lower class (and I don't mean poor), and the scenery sucked….dry hills, few trees. I left after three days.

    6. I'm buying Sintana Energy too Rick. Amazing what you can sleuth using Grok. Adding more SEUSF on weaknesses.
      Thank you sir

    7. Rick Rule is an incredibly intelligent and wise person, and his advice to 'invest in yourself first' is spot on. As a Mexican currently living in Mexico, I want to add some local context regarding the recent news of violence. It is important to be aware that much of the news circulating on social media is actually being propagated by the cartels themselves (for example, the AI-generated video of an airplane on fire). You shouldn't take social media rumors at face value. Conversely, the official government narrative is biased and misleading, to say the least. For a more objective version of events, I highly recommend Carmen Aristegui's YouTube channel. Adela Micha's channel, La Saga, is also a very acceptable source of objective information. Great channel by the way Charlotte. Carlos Loret is also reliable here in México regarding news.
