I understand the concerns around the strait but please answer the following:
-We have had a massive oversupply of oil globally for years and this has not changed.
-Iran is 100% reliant on selling its oil through the strait to function as a country, closing it for too long is suicide
– Literally the entire world wants to keep this strait open
-Many countries have emergency oil reserves that can last months to years for emergencies like this
How is the bull case for oil not rampant speculation forcing prices up based on a fundamentally temporary event?
