I'm in the process of buying a house with a USDA loan.
The home inspection found quite a bit of mold in the attic and some in the crawl space.
We are buying the house as is, with the one caveat being if there is anything that would affect closing they would cover it.
We're ok with moving forward if it's fixed or else we can walk away.
The realtor is saying we would be on the hook for fixing this.
My understanding is USDA loans will require mold remediation to close if the appraiser sees it. But I don't think the appraiser will go into the attic or crawlspace. Especially because this attic is difficult to access with no drop down steps and a small access panel.
How can I make sure they know or notify the appraiser?
