I won’t have enough qualified payments to get forgiveness if I don’t pay anything, even though years have passed and I’d be really close. I’m afraid of the payments if I do leave forbearance. I don’t know what to do.
I never left SAVE. Do I stay in forbearance or switch to making payments to get qualifying months?

Wait. The SAVE case was dismissed last week and is awaiting an appeal decision as early as today. Don’t do anything until more is revealed.
I’m doing absolutely nothing. If Trump/repubs gonna make student loans the mess it is now, then I will do the bare minimum until I’m actually required to do something. Most likely I’ll end up in the RAP program in 2028, and even that it’s going to be based off your income, so throwing any money towards my loans is going to do nothing besides a smaller tax bomb.
Are you doing PSLF or pursuing IDR based forgiveness?
