Satoshi put a VM on bitcoin. Why not just make incremental improvements on that and build a whole new financial system? Then you could have defi, tokens, markets. Markets can stabilize supply and incentivize use as a reserve currency. You could solve one of the core problems bitcoin had suffered since it’s earliest days: volatility.
