I moved to Switzerland and started questioning everything I thought I knew about money. Started learning Bitcoin 2 months ago and still have a lot to learn. What do you wish you knew at the beginning?

I basically wish I had become a programmer earlier in order to have understood proof-of-work, hash functions, P2P networks, elliptic curve cryptography and wallet generation from the get-go.

I remember looking up how to create a wallet around 2015-2016 and finding it too complicated…

Then I started programming around 2017-2018 and a few years after Bitcoin popped back into my head, and with my newly acquired knowledge and my degree I was able to understand the intricacies of it.

Basically, my suggestion would be to keep reading and really try to understand the technicalities of it. It still surprises me sometimes how some people have been into Bitcoin for years but still don’t understand some of its basic functioning – so if you can understand the technical aspects from the start, you’ll be doing better than most!
