Buying fiat currencies with bitcoin possible?

I have did some research but I am still unsure if it as easily done as I think.
1) I create an account, let‘s say on binance
2) I buy bitcoin
3) I trade that with any fiat currency available (e.g. Russian ruble)
That‘s it??!

Background: I would like to invest foreign currencies like ruble or any other. Would appreciate any guidance and tips.
