I’m 23 years old and I don’t have a credit card yet so I have 0 credit. I have tried to apply for discover and capital one and I got denied from both of those. I work part time but I don’t get paid much. Is there any chance I could get a credit card and if so what one do you recommend? I’m trying to get credit so I can afford a house in the future and stuff for my car.
First credit card? I already tried discover and capital one and I didn’t get approved.

Did you start with preapproval, or with blind applications? Did you apply for secured or unsecured cards?
You’re likely path ahead is for secured cards, where you’ll pay a deposit to serve as your credit limit. You may also want to check out the options with whatever bank you have retail accounts (checking, savings, etc.) with.
Maybe start with something else that builds credit, like a personal loan or a car loan from a credit union. Definitely don’t apply for credit cards again for at least six months to let those hard pulls fall off your record. Also, pull your credit reports from [annualcreditreport.com](http://annualcreditreport.com) the only government mandated free credit report site and ignore their attempts to upsell, see if there are actually any positive or negative things on your record.
Make sure you apply for the student version since the standard ones check your credit harder
