Taco bell killed my favorite value menu items ( double stacker ) and mcdonalds has been also killing my my McDouble deals. I’m not paying 10$ for fast food – are you fucking kidding me? I’ll get this bullshit in a pinch – but it’s going to be as infrequently as is managable. I can get full takeout for 12 to 15$, why would I ever do fast food at that same margin. I can’t even drive through and just order – no I need to use their damned app. The app now doesn’t even provide savings – it once did but now it doesn’t. I eat fast food in a pinch – I think I’ll eat fast food never because it sucks and it costs a lot.

Fast food is not cheap food. It hasn’t been in ages. People who go to McDonald’s are fools

      Interesting read.

“McDonald’s is not going to get beat on value and affordability,” Kempczinski said during the call last month.
As part of the company’s latest effort to reach these consumers, McDonald’s is reportedly launching a new value menu in April with items like a 4-piece Chicken McNuggets or Sausage Biscuit priced at $3 or less.”

But if a $3 dollar 4-piece Chicken McNuggets is among their cheapest options I don’t think they are on the same side of the K shaped economy that they think they are….

I went to Taco Bell for the first time in almost 4 years and ordered 2 of my favorite dollar burritos without looking at the menu. I almost drove away when they told me my total was $8. I can buy ground beef and a pack of tortillas for that price.
