I need help in two areas:
Grocery money saving- I am celiac, my husband is IBS, and we're both dairy intolerant. Looking for ways to afford meat, meal ingredients, etc, that would see us spending less than $700 a month. We're in a 600 sqft loft, so not a lot of storage for food.
Secondly,
Our apartment complex provides laundry rooms but they are so poorly maintained that I try to only do big things (towels and bedding) in them. Out of 8 total washers only one works and it doesn't spin out the water. And out of 8 total dryers, only two start. One heats but doesn't dry (somehow), and the other vibrates so much the door flies open mid cycle.
During COVID, I bought us a small twin tub washing machine. (Can do up to two days worth of clothing for two adults at a time), and it sits in the bathtub. It washes decently and spins really well. Nearly everything that is spun in there is dry within 6 hours in our humid bathroom. (No outside space). Jeans take up to 12 hours. Here my issue, my towels dry all stiff in there and my washcloths now feel scratchy. It's time to wash the bedding, but I'm sure it's going to cost 4x the money in those awful dryers and while the sheets for in our twin tub, the blankets won't. I have swollen fingers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, so hand wringing them from the normal washer is very painful. Any tips???
