In 1990, do you know what they said would take 50 years to clean up? When Saddam destroyed Kuwait oil fields, the Kuwait dessert was lit up like a Christmas tree and the sky was black from 700 burning wells. It took about 8-9 months to put them all out completely instead of teh 50 years.

Venezuela will make up the gap in a lot of new shipping and supply lines. That’s just what the people will do. They’ll really leave their reliance on Middle East oil and develop new shipping lines and that’s a good thing. It’s gonna take a couple of years but the long-term prognosis is fantastic short-term pain. Lark, step back, take a deep breath. Asia depends on Gulf oil. These big economies get 1-5% of their oil from that region. Russia can absolutely backfill. Price is $103 right now and completely liquid. We’ll probably track $100-$120 for awhile but that is not catastrophic. Unless you’re China. Then you want to drop the hammer on Iran.
