      In canada, up 50 cents litre in one month. About 1.90 a gallon. USG, sad, all because trump wanted to deflect the absolute s*&t he’s in with Epstein and all the other potential charges he’s facing.

      Add oil prices that have not gone up I live in Missouri a republican controlled state premium gas is 323 a gallon.. in Illinois premium gas is 423 a gallon.. Eleanor is controlled by the Democrats

      I was in college during the '70s gas crisis, but fortunately I owned a bicycle and it was just a short ride down a bike path to school and my part time job so I just parked my 1972 Dodge van for most of the year. I'm also old enough to remember $.25/gal gasoline in So. Cal. when I drove a muscle car in high school with occasional gas wars between competing stations driving prices even lower than that. Ahhh… those were the days.

A lot of wealth is being transferred from a lot of Trump voters to a few investors. A lot of small businesses that rely on people having disposable income are struggling more than ever.

      And so…explain how we can conserve, ration and utilize existing electric vehicles as taxis…while we fast track renewables in all regions + grid batteries + more electric transportation options + dig up front yards and plant vegetable gardens. Come on MS NOW talk about cost effective and practical solutions!

      Why waste time, money and lives on the Strait of Hormuz?

      The Marines (now in adequate numbers) are also possibly there to seize oil tankers and relocate them, with supply ships on standby, for the oil to be unloaded elsewhere. Oman seems a good option (but with Houthi issues) or alternatively, to Mombasa for storage. Ship owners can then have their boats back, once drained. Iran will launch strikes on departing tankers, but anti-missile defences (from escorts) would protect the vast majority : reference the Atlantic convoys during WW2.

      These tankers would then restock the world’s fuel supply and, subsequently, lower pump prices. This economic crisis will get much worse, exponentially, until something is done. Think outside the box.

      Just don’t argue that any of this is complicated, or illegal : THIS IS WAR, and the gloves are already off. The thieving insurance companies (that are also insured) will just have to bear any collateral costs. And while we’re at it, oil corporations are making obscene profits (as usual) from their pump price hikes – at people's expense. These bonus profits should be taxed @ 75%, payable (in full) within 5 business days, without exception.

      If other countries want to do something constructive, all their navies should be escorting tankers away from the Strait of Hormuz to be pumped dry, then sent on their way. The Strait will have then become a non-issue – otherwise, it will remain an endless, costly stalemate.

      Governments should stop stumbling around and take action : solve this issue NOW, without argument.
