18 yr old ROTC cadet. Traveling international this winter, so if I get the welcome bonus I would most likely maximize it with travel expenses and summer spending.
First year was at the dorm, moving into apartment next year so I will be spending for groceries. I am also a big traveler so I believe this could help me knock a domestic flight out for free with points or something.

2 years from now, Ill be on title 10 orders, then active duty, so the credit fee will be waived (and then I can also apply for the platinum which will be nice addition). I also currently have the business cash amex (blue card), which I have had for 7 months for the business I work at.

I currently use the Robinhood gold card, but I am switching brokerages so I figured this would be a good time to switch. For a data point, my I spent around $6k on my robinhood since September. Rest of details can be found below, while I am young I believe I make a good amount to justify a "premium" credit card.

Other alternative card I was looking at was Capitol One Venture/ VentureX.

    1. Hard to beat the 3% on everything from Robinhood Visa.  Amex Gold annual fee is what?  You can get 6% back on groceries with Amex Blue Cash Preferred, $95 annual fee, and 5% back on restaurants and bars with PayPal debit, no annual fee.
