I've been thinking about how different the crypto space feels compared to a few years ago.
Back then it felt like people really believed in projects, communities were strong, and there was this idea of "we're early and building the future". Now after so many rug pulls, failed tokens, broken promises and projects that lost 80–90% of their value, it feels like the trust level is much lower.
It seems like:
- people rotate faster between projects
- communities die faster
- long-term belief is rare
- everyone is more defensive and skeptical
At the same time I still see some communities that stayed strong even after huge drawdowns.
So I'm curious:
Which project did you truly believe in that later lost most of its value?
And more interesting:
Why did you believe in it at the time?
Technology? Founder? Community? Narrative?
And what finally broke that trust for you?
I'm trying to understand if the crypto community is still driven by belief or if it has become mostly opportunistic after everything we've seen.
Has the crypto community become less united after so many projects failed or rug pulled?
