Curious what everyone new strategy/thoughts on opening up new credit card sign up bonus to achieve the most points vs the all in one simplified spend card Bilt 2.0 and just putting all your spend there. Or possibly a hybrid approach of both?

Churning is always the most points/cashback, but depending on your spend you may run into issues with velocity.
For me, between p1 and p2 we can open 6-7 cards easily but we also have built a basic portfolio of travel cards for spend when not churning SUBs.
Honestly, until they devalue it, I value our 3.33x Bilt Palladium over some of my 5x cards. P2 puts all her spend on it.
I’m doing the same debate. 3.33x on Hyatt and Atmos is very appealing to the tune of 17k points per month but churning is great too.
I’ll probably open Palladium and pause when I have churn months. I’m currently lol/24 anyways 🤷
SUBS typically offer a greater return on spend (vs card multipliers) and are still the fastest way to accumulate a large number of points. So I’ll continue chasing new card offers and will default to my Palladium when I’m not working on one.
Hybrid for sure. When working a SUB, focus all spend on that card of course. When not working a SUB, resort back to an optimized, simple setup.
Hybrid.
So far this year I’ve opened:
1. Bilt Palladium – Using mortgage unlocks and point accelerator as a catch-all card for non-category spend. Already met the SUB. Using for Hyatt for next year’s Hawaii trip. Grand Hyatt Kuaui.
2. Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select – 80k bonus on $1k spend, first year AF waived. Easy target for 80k AA miles. Met the SUB in 30 days. Using for AA First Class return trip from Hawaii next year. Using Atmos for the flight there.
3. U.S. Bank Triple Cash – $750 bonus on $6k spend in 6 months. 0% APR, 3x back on cell phone, gas, & dining. Using for these categories and federal taxes, property taxes, and car insurance until spend is met. Using the $750 cash for this summer’s Europe trip (Paris, Greece)
4. P2 is due for an application. Right now it’s either Venture (75k +$250 travel credit) or a Hilton card that comes with the Free Night Certificate. Both Capital One miles and Hilton Honors points can be easily shared.
So basically churning, but using the Bilt Palladium as a catch-all most of the time.
Opening new credit cards can sometimes raise car and home insurance premiums. I learned that the hard way and that made me mostly stop doing it.
As far as BILT, I can’t imagine that program will be around very long.
