Yes, two ways. Gld will not regain 500 in the next 3 weeks, and the CRA will not appreciate you gambling with leverage in your TFSA. You won’t even be able to claim the loss, and they could come after all your gains because this is speculation rather than investing.

gld has never moved that large in time and this is a tamed conflict with petro dollar hamming gold

today’s GLD price action was interesting while it moved the same way stock did but under the water. it used to be not moving during the trading hours back in 2024. i don’t think you will lose it all you bought monthly i expect about 50% down if odds are against you.
