I know this market is tough but good lord I’m angry.

We put in three different offers over the last few months, and each one was denied. The latest one we offered $30k OVER ASKING and still got denied.

I’m pissed. What moron is paying these ridiculous prices? It legitimately makes me want to just give up. I fucking hate this market and the idiots that pay these insane prices making it harder for the rest of us.

    Thinking about giving up.

Honestly if the numbers don’t add up then they don’t. Depending on where you’re at renting may very well be the cheaper option.

I’m sorry this market is all over the place.

Keep faith! Recently, I went $22K over asking and was told I was the second highest offer but was “significantly outbid”.

Long story short, the first offer fell through and they came back to me.. I’m closing on Friday.

It’ll happen for you soon too!

If it makes you feel any better, back when the rates were rock bottom in 2021 I was getting outbid 100K over asking cash, all contingencies waived.

Man I feel this in my bones 💀 Been watching prices climb while my paycheck stays the same for years now. Maybe take a break from house hunting for a bit – this market’s just brutal and you’ll drive yourself crazy trying to compete with people who apparently have unlimited money 😂

    5. Unfortunately, the dollar ain’t what it used to be. Blame our politicians for runaway government debt with the inevitable consequences of currency debasement, inflation, and pain.

$30k over doesn’t tell us anything. What’s the percentage over asking.

Dude! Be proud! You are making smart decisions.
A friend of mine is actually rich (not investments, research, makes shit, has patents etc.) and he rents.

We looked for a year and made so many offers I lost count – all cash. Finally a roofer who was inspecting another potential house for us tipped us off to a property about to come on the market, owned by a friend, in exactly the neighborhood we wanted. We got a really good deal and have been very happy here. What is it they say about the lottery? You can’t win if you don’t play.

I was in this boat a month ago. It took 8 bids on different houses but I close tomorrow. Started looking in June last year and submitted my first offer in July. Submitted this offer late February so a little over half a year on the market. Houses will continue to pop up especially with summer coming.
