I've held the Alaska Airlines Atmos Ascent card for a year, and my second annual fee posted on 2/28 last month. I called Bofa in early March to request a product change to a no annual fee customized cash rewards (CCR). That process went through sucessfully, but I am still seeing the $95 annual fee posted to my account in the transaction history. I thought this second annual fee should be waived since I product changed to a no AF card within 30 days of the second AF posting?
I called Bofa earlier and the rep said the only chance this second AF could get waived is if I cancel this Bofa CCR. Is that correct? I thought the standard protocol was to close/product-change within 30 days of the next AF posting, to avoid having to pay the AF twice.

Phone CRs aren’t necessarily the most informed.
I’m not up to date on BoA latest policies, but it is typical to have a 30 day grace period to receive an AF refund, for cancelations or PCs.
