Hi everyone,

I’m based in South Africa and want to invest R10,000 per month consistently for the long term.

Just for context, I already have my safer, more traditional investments handled through financial advisors and planners. This R10,000 per month is separate and is for me to invest in my own capacity, so I’m comfortable being more aggressive with it.

My goal is strong long-term growth. I understand that higher returns come with higher risk, and I’m willing to take that on with this portion of my investing.

At the moment I’m using EasyEquities, and I’m open to investing in a mix of:

    • ETFs

    • individual shares

    • offshore exposure

    • crypto

    • any other options worth considering

I’d like advice on how you would structure a R10k per month portfolio if your goal was maximum long-term growth, while still being reasonably diversified.

    A few questions:

    1. How would you split the R10k each month?

    2. Which ETFs or shares would you prioritise?

    3. How much, if any, would you allocate to crypto?

    4. Would you focus more on US markets, SA markets, or a mix of both?

    5. Any major mistakes I should avoid starting out?

I’m not looking to trade short term. This is for long-term investing, and I want the money working as hard as possible.

Would appreciate any thoughts from people who’ve built aggressive portfolios themselves.

    Thanks

Best way to invest R10,000 per month for long-term aggressive growth?
