      I wonder when it’s going to sink in for American farmers that they’ve permanently lost half or more of their Chinese customers because of Trump’s trade war.

      They might make a deal to buy a certain amount of cargo this year to get their tariffs reduced, as they did last year, but it’s never going to go back to pre-trade war levels and at some point these case-by-case deals will also stop.

      They’re making huge investments in helping countries like Brazil and Argentina increase their soybean production just to spite America. Those investments are for the long term.
