Just like now, Trump not Taco. Iran refuse to talk. While the bombing doesn’t stop, both side are more sensible. The US only hits military facilities, Iran only hits Israel, and the Strait of Hormuz resumes at least some capacity instead of staying completely shut.
What if this drag out for foreseeable future?,
What if the US and Iran keep fighting while the Strait of Hormuz stays semi-open?

So duh, if Hormuz flows and energy is safe, no impact.
Why would that happen?
Insurance companies are not covering Hormuz transit. And why would Iran want a low level war with the US to last forever? Not in their interest. You are looking to make life easier for you at the expense of others. Why not overthrow trump and get a better result?
Why would Iran not use its biggest leverage to apply pressure to the US? You think they enjoy being bombed? With drones, keeping the strait closed is child’s play.
