So, because the mods in r/politicalcompass don’t want to tell me how much karma I need to be able to participate, and the place is filled with unserious people, I decided to post here, I hope I can.

Here is the google doc for visual proof, many things have changed in the span of a couple of months, for starters I don’t support him as much as I did back then but before I went into highschool I supported trump because of his tax cuts and immigration policies but he’s just not that guy anymore, starting trade wars smh. But regardless after I got to highschool I sat next to a really beautiful girl, actually multiple but she’s the one that matters, she was 5 feet tall gorgeous face, we got along really well and played footsies, we held hands, and all that. Then he comes Election Day, and I was ecstatic oml, I was jumping up and down, it felt like one of the best nights of my life. I go to school the next day and then she asks “Omg trump won” and I was like “yeah” with a smile on my face, and she asked “you like Trump? He’s gonna deport our friends “ I wiped my smile, and I was like starting to feel guilty for some reason. I liked her so much that, I basically turned left wing never a socialist. I called myself a “stakeholder capitalist” actually came up with that on my own turns out that’s actually a thing, started caring about things like the environment and I was just so much more radically different, not blaming but it was because of her. eventually, I start feeling like I’m trapped inside my own body, I’ve been right wing all my life I swear it’s in my genes, since I was young I was asking my mom to learn English and to assimilate it’s quite funny actually. And it got so bad that I said, school is holding me back. I’m switching to homeschool so I can learn ahead. That’s what I did, I switched to homeschool, still was pretty left-wing, but not socialist left wing, but then I stumbled upon… la pasión, my passion of economics after I stumbled upon economics. Learned it with ChatGPT, Grok, YouTube, a bit of khan academy, and eventually, Stumbled onto Chicago economists Like Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell, I bought two books economics in one lesson and basic economics, gonna buy even more. because I started realizing that some things that I believed were wrong, like many others, I started cracking out of this left wing persona that emerged, being true to who I am what I believed, and seeing if it conflicted with any economic principles lmao. So now I’m actually more right wing. I’m pretty sure economically speaking, but I am more OK with things that are seen as not politically correct and I hate that term, there’s no such thing as politically correct speech but the speech you hold dear and near, like my belief in classical liberalism (American way), expansionism, etc.
When I was in that state run institution I measured in on the political compass as;
Economic left: -2.25
Social libertarian: -5.08
And now I am
Economic right: 9.75
Social libertarian: -4.0
I believe it’s more than most people ever change in their lifetime.
But what do you guys think? Based? What do you believe I know? Want me to answer an economic question? Ask away but tell me what you think.
any book recommendations outside of why nations fail, Thomas Sowell, and Friedman?
What do you guys think of my ideological shift?
