So I am 40 and iust now getting my license. In michigan. I am verv discouraged at the quotes I've gotten so far for full coverage. Thev're talkina 250 to over 300 a month?!. Can't reallv afford that…… I know people with duis that pay less. 1. Some people with DUIs still have longer driving records than your.

You cannot compare your situation with anyone, because you and other do not have:
      – Same credit score?
      – Same zipcode?
      – Same vehicles (made, model, trims)?
      – Same age?
      – Same driving records? Claims, accidents, DUIs, length, etc.
      – Same garaging address?
      – And countless other variables.

    2. Call a local independent agent.

You’re a high risk as a new driver so you’re going to cost more without any other variables. You have little experience so the likelihood of you causing an accident is high.
