Hey everyone,

Looking to purchase my first home and have some questions. I have been with progressive auto for around 12 years and get what must be their best prices right now. I’m wondering if that will help me if I go with them for home insurance. I’m buying a home from a parent and being gifted a ton of equity and while my mortgage payment will be very low the taxes per month and their ins is high, 350 and 270 respectively. I’m trying to lower the ins if I can for me when I buy the home so shopping around will be essential. I just don’t want to do too many hard pulls on my credit so any and all recommendations are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Insurance doesnt count against credit score. Call a local independent agent and get auto and home quotes.

If you’re happy with progressive for your auto you might start by getting a home quote from them.
Most companies are going to want you to bundle your home and auto to get the best price.
I use State Farm but there are plenty of good companies out there.
