I have so many problems with a house we recently purchased. It was built in 2000 so we did a little bit of renovation like re painting the walls and getting new tile flooring. All that renovation turned out to be a bad idea. Those tiles are light colored and no matter how much I clean, it always looks ugly and dirty.
The grout also looks ugly, dirty and uneven..
I even put some carpets in there but it’s too big of area to be hiding under rugs.
Walls are another issue. We were naive , went with semi gloss and it’s such a patch work everywhere. Looks awful in light. Looks uneven from angles.
I hate everything we did to the house . Not that I liked what owner had before either. I have drained money on it. I don’t know how to live with it or anyway to fix it without spending much? Does it even matter?
Need advice on home improvement ideas

Sucks to say, but quality home upgrades are rarely cheap. You’ll probably have to bite the bullet to replace flooring.
Paint, thankfully, is a relatively cheap fix, especially is you already have supplies from last time, but it’s an investment of time.
Do plenty of research before committing to anything else.
Pay attention to the sheen suggestions at the paint counter – eggshell is a pretty safe choice for most rooms.
