It is getting hammered so much lately, even on market green days microsoft tends to end up red, but I really don't see why.
Like sure, for retail customers it's products become shit, there's no lying about that, but also, microsoft dosen't care about simple bob and his home PC running windows. Majority of microsoft earnings comes from big corpo and Azure and I didn't see any indicator of this failing apart.
So did I missed something and microsoft really is in trouble or current down trend is some kind of buildup before earnings next month, which probably (again) be positive?
Is market overreacting about Microsoft?

Of course there is also deal with Iran and Hormus, but again, it looks like overreacting, because last time I checked Microsoft’s server weren’t running on crude oil.
Speaking anecdotally and from the ground, a lot of top talent left and it’s going to take a longtime to fix Microslop. They can feed headline news but the codebase is super shit.
MS is so ingrained in all large companies, it simply is not feasible to throw their products out: too costly, too time-demanding, no real alternatives.
Furthermore it’s one of the financially most stable companies on the planet.
Intending to buy more, but not before this weekend is over (see the Axios article “Pentagon prepares for massive “final blow” of Iran war”: [https://archive.is/qFDqJ](https://archive.is/qFDqJ) )
I don’t think Microsoft is in trouble. I just think we’re in a critical phase of the market where everything is being questioned more rigorously: Fears surrounding AI, high capital expenditure (CapEx) spending and geopolitical tensions are all influencing sentiment and volatility.
I guess azure will be used less if windows really goes down because it’s shitty and maybe because of the MacBook Neo. Who knows. I don’t really thing it will die but they’re getting what they deserve imo.
[Microsoft](https://www.stockcounterparts.com/companies/microsoft) is such a stable business. I would also say, lets use the actual market sentiment for buying. Sure in China they have hard times becuase of Kingsoft, but Azure is a profit machine. And it will be getting faster with AI. Just as usual, trust your feelings and buy for the long term. Keep calm and HODL 😀
If you think market is overreacting with Microsoft you should check atlassian dip of the dip lol. And that’s with good news of getting profitable as they fire 15% of their people. Microsoft growth is pretty cooked, that’s why it deserves a drop to normal multiples. Also it’s Openai alliance in burned money deserves to be paid
Hi friend, I also bought MSFT on the supposed dip and surrounding excitement; I hope all of these posts about it being undervalued make it go up 🥴
microsoft short term is cooked. Wait to invest until it shows some sort of support.
Market isn’t overreacting but it’s just showing that it doesn’t have the confidence that Microsoft (and other tech companies) deserve the same growth rate as it’s had over that years.
While being the first mover and having a huge stake in OpenAI, it hasn’t really helped its cause. And in terms of its moat of bundling and large corporations tie ins could easily become vulnerable when competition and its clients themselves start using AI.
A lot of “investors” pumped MSFT during autumn ride for blue chip stocks. MSFT became the most popular stock, and most people invested only because “all companies use microsoft and office products”. Market has now realised its real value, which has always been around 20-25 P/E. And I know I will be downvoted by people that put their life savings in this stock only because others were telling it will hit $600.
Sitting at 2017 price levels
Really do not understand the Microsoft decline but I’m buying, PE is super cheap atm
Im buying, I dont care. I was buying GOOG when it was dipping, look where it is now. Ive been buying ASML when they blocked exports to China. Look where it is now.
There are two types of people, those who read news and those who follow earnings and big trends. If you’re selling stock because it’s price is down not because fundamentals are broken – youre not a good investor. I dont see MSFT story being ruined, except people want to see OpenAI to fail and their proxy for that hate is MSFT, which is bullshit.
Who else besides openai can u qname that uses azure
