Painful kitchen appliance purchase but it's a necessity. Would you:
1) Open a Best Buy credit card that's offering 10% back in gift card that you can use for anything at Best Buy/Pacific Sales. That's $1,700.
2) Put it on one of your two main cards where you accrue points for travel (Am X platinum and Chase Sapphire Preferred). I regularly maximize points on these cards and use them for free flights and upgrades. I also use Rakuten for membership rewards, but appliances bought thru Best Buy/Pac Sales are not eligible.
I am not a card churner but the Best Buy deal is enticing. I would be able to get a few other things I have been putting off. My credit score is good so I don't mind taking a little temporary hit for opening the card.

I would put it towards a SUB.
Amex will include purchase protection and extended warranty
Opens a few cards and hit sub. The total will always outweigh the crappy 10%.
are you willing to open a business card? Amex Gold business is up to 200k for $15k spend, Platinum business is up to 300k after $20k spend

Jesus, what sort of appliance does Best Buy sell that’s $17k?!
I would double check if best buy has the best price for that exact appliance, maybe a Costco if you have one around to see? You can easily purchase it online since you know what it is anyway.
Then I would check for subs as everyone else has mentioned — this depends what your goal is on the type of points or free nights/flights you’re looking for.
I would put quite a bit on the Best Buy card to get the credit for some TVs or a new computer if you need them.
If not a business card would work or capital one venture x
