So i turned $40,000 into $400,000 in 3 months trading options. Strategy consists of gap fills on the daily timeframe on large/mid cap stocks such as $CVS, $DIS, $NKE. Utilizing flow and the 8EMA as extra conviction.

I know that’s pretty good but is it time to start selling options with larger capital? I’ve heard 1% portfolio gain per month is realistic, but I haven’t sold options extensively before.

    Thoughts?

    1. I think you should show your positions or be banned from the sub, wallstreetbets-style.

    2. I operate a small account so am only sharing from my limited experience. 1%/month is definitely realistic is you were thinking more of the wheel strategy when selling. If you’re actually selling spreads (I did this for a limited time), I had some good streaks definitely above 2%.

Let’s get this straight. You 10x’d your portfolio in 3 months and now you are coming to reddit to ask about making 1% per month selling options?

It seems like you should just continue doing what you are doing.

    4. What do you mean by “utilizing flow”? Volume and call/put ratios? Order flow?

5% a month is my goal. I scalp 0dte SPX options, and also sell credit spreads. Its a really decent living. Took me 25 months of pain to figure it out.

      If it was true:

Take 40k to make another 400k and invest the other 360k in QQQI which will give you almost the 4k every month
