Referred my spouse to apply for CFU. After applying, got "we need to review your application" email. Next day, gets a letter in Chase account indicating that they suspected fraud and declined the application.
Spouse calls Chase, goes through security code process, confirms they applied for card. Rep tells them OK, we will process application. Spouse then gets email from Chase asking for ID submission. Submit a scan of driver license. A couple days later, gets another fraud alert letter, same letter, different date. Calls again, talks to rep, is told, ok we confirmed your identity, give us 1-2 weeks to review application.
Today, spouse gets same identity theft letter (with a new date) a THIRD time. Has not had the opportunity to call Chase yet, but seriously, what is the deal here? Why do they keep sending the same letter over and over? Neither of us have ever experienced anything like this. I have 4 Chase cards, spouse has 1.
Referred spouse to Chase for CFU. Chase sent them 3 letters about identity theft.

She really needs to pull all three of her credit reports from annualcreditreport.com.
It’s free and you can do it once every 7 days, despite the name.
This will give her (and you) the opportunity to look them over to see what is on there because it sounds like there might be potential for something nefarious.
When you are looking at each report you’ll have the ability to download it so you’ll want to do that as once you leave that screen to continue to another report you can’t go back to it until next time.
There’s also the ability to have all 3 reports physically mailed to you that ‘might’ contain more detail.
Have your spouse go into an actual Chase branch and see if they can help.
Bring Real ID, social security card, and passport if they have them.
