I thought the brokerage automatically closes your same day options at 3:30 eastern? At least robinhood closes them out, you cant hold past 3:30 the day of expiration

I did the exact same thing today however I was only holding and scalping for a couple buck at end of day than $15 turn into $500 was a nice way to end an otherwise terrible day for me, I was up big but it never V’ed

Kudos to you. I sold my SPY calls @4:02 pm thinking it had no where to go for 3 cents each, I watched them to go to $3 each 10 mins later..25 contracts 🙁
