A boss is very harsh toward an employee at her shop and frequently criticizes her. This negatively affects the employee’s mood, making her less friendly toward customers. In this situation, who is more responsible?
The boss for failing to create a supportive work environment, or the employee for not managing her emotions professionally?
Who is to blame in this case?

I think the boss has a bigger role since leadership shapes the work environment, but at the same time employees also have to try to separate personal feelings from customer interactions—it’s rarely just one person’s fault
