    1. Time to sell more EU produced EV to european consumer, pretty good deal for germany. More work for european industry, wind, solar, car, truck and train, machinery and energy efficient building. Crisis for EU consumer and opportunity for industry/jobs at same time. European consumer support european industry, supply and demand, if done right, it will work out just fine. Accelerate green transition is not a bad thing, short term pain turn long term gain. Remember people like their habit, even its unsustainable in the long run, pain is catalyst for change, not that is pleasant but its common sense and necessary. Time for EU grow some backbone and implement some strategy autonomy, and not just talking back and forth.

    2. I switched to EVs five years ago and I'm never going back to gas. I also have a new house with solar on it, with a $0 electricity bill each month and that includes charging 2 cars, cooking with induction and keeping my AC at 72F year-round in Las Vegas. Europeans have much smaller distances to travel generally – EVs should be a priority for European nations.

    3. I think everyone is fully aware of that the US and Israel started this war with a surprise attack. Now this war is costing most countries in the world enormous sums of money and the only right thing to do is of course to demand compensation for economic pain and suffering. I think we will be talking about trillions of dollars.

    4. Imagine choosing to be a puppet of a genocidal regime and this happens. It almost like Europe chose to support killing children to having energy. If there was a god this would seem like a punishment.

    5. If Trump decides to put quotas on hydrocarbon exports to stabilize prices, as the election approaches…???
      _ 🥺… excuse us Vladimir, we need a little help… we'll pay you cash… for 180 billion we'll see maybe…
      _ 😳🤔…😴

    6. Instead to deal with creativity I am dealing with listening the news for many hours a day, waiting what has happened of that that was taken from me. I do not like this, but I was imposed in this situation.

    7. the other alternatives is EV car if you really wanna stop relying on those fuel impacted car though like china , they went full silence mode on fuel and stuff

but one thing about EV and SOLAR type of car they like HEAT or HOT climate to work to the max though

    8. Some nice spin offs come from this. Again a group of people will understand that oil is trouble and will move to renewables. Companies realize they need to work on energy efficiency. And the government makes more money on tax (not nice but then they need less from other taxes).

    9. I drive a diesel because it has a mountain of torque when needed, it's efficient on fuel especially when not in traffic jams and is generally more reliable than petrol engines (NO WET BELT CHAOS). The engine itself is in multiple models and other brands so parts are not hard to obtain new or used. A tank full gets me over 400 miles range without eco-driving (its a clio the most sold small car in eurozone). I don't worry about charge levels, i don't worry about climbing hills and mountains. As a driver the only problem I encounter is Charges, Fines & TAXES !!!

    10. You compare different grades of gasoline. Regular in the USA is A87: there is no place you can buy A95 (the highest grade in Western NY is A93). 95 is 10-15% more expensive. Next, why somebody may need SUV to drive in a German town, I've no idea (no deep snow imaginable, and old streets could be narrow).

    11. In price of fuel in Deutschland are 55–60% taxes!

      Energiesteuer 35-40%
      Mehrwertsteuer 19%
      CO2-Abgabe 4-5%
      EBV <1%

So there is VERY simple way to lower price…
Reduce to 0% Energiesteuer and CO2 Abgabe and instead over 2€/l drivers would pay even less than in January 2026.

      So simple…

    12. Land of "small cars" when was that, 20 years ago ? Our cars got bigger and bigger. Perhaps compared to the US average they are still small. But many of us already drive oversized vehicles every day.

    13. The notion that US has less policy tools than EU to control gas prices is faulty. All it takes is a 10% export duty on crude, which current administration could enact overnight if needed. Remember – US is a net oil exporter and EU – net importer (by wide margin). In a show off between policy and physics, the later always wins.

    14. The raising gas prices are really impacting our lives here in Europe, people are actually scared and getting anxious about how long will that last 😮😢

    15. That's not the worst part the EU snubbed the Arab oil countries that provide them energy. They will impose higher prices for Europe over this
