I was allured by the Palladium but saw how bad the customer service was and it made me want to go back to AMEX. Makes me wonder if AMEX is still in this new card World.

The best card is the one where the rewards make the most sense for you.
I enjoy flying business and first class internationally, and MR is one of the best for that, so that’s why I use AMEX.
I also make out like a bandit on all the credits.
Depends on if the credits make sense for you and if the transfer partners work for you. Although if you have the CS Platinum, it’s a pretty powerful cash back setup with the Gold.
I have Bilt Palladium which is my catch-all card. My Amex platinum card is for lounge access and the credits.
Sure, Amex is still good. I use my Palladium as a catch-all and actually cancelled my Amex Plat. No hard feelings towards Amex, I’m just getting more value out of the Palladium for now.
Let’s be real, having a card that works properly and is responsive when you have issues is way more important than $200/yr in extra credits or multipliers. You don’t want to pick up pennies in front of the steamroller
