I haven't seen much news about this, but aren't there Oil tankers that got stuck inside the strait that are unable to be used around the world. Are the companies that have those ships deadlocked taking additional financial hits since it's essentially a paralyzed asset?
Aren't there portions of the world's tanker fleets trapped behind the strait?

There are many such vessels and the IMO is trying to work with Iran to get the seafarers and their vessels out of there.

To the extent that this represents a random slice of the tanker fleets that transport from the gulf, their owners are doing very well, thanks to much higher day rates and utilization of their tankers that aren’t trapped. Some other winners, the ship chandler companies of the UAE and Oman, which are provisioning these stranded crews.
