I invested around $400 in Aave about a year ago and I’m now down nearly 50%. I initially bought based on someone’s suggestion, but the price hasn’t recovered and I’m starting to doubt the decision. I’m unsure whether to keep holding and hope for a turnaround or cut my losses and move on. Does Aave still have strong potential, or is it better to exit and reallocate? Looking for honest, practical advice.

Sell and move on
The whole market is down that much . You bought in right before a disabled person who consistently bankrupts things was elected president. Hold for two years after this nightmare is over and then decide. You won’t know the potential of anything until this crash is over.
No one can sell you your own conviction, do your own research! People buy Pokémon cards because they love those particular Pokémon or the artist/design of those cards. Do you believe in Aave vision of loaning cash to those whole hold Crypto long term? This is where you either double down on the market being irrational or just sell and move on but don’t go around telling people you sold for a lose because crypto sucks, you just haven’t done your own research and it shows. You wouldn’t be asking us if you did or understood what they did. You could use analogies to better understand Aave, people who own gold don’t earn yield, but once they need money, they can stake their gold for a lower interest rates where they can still keep their gold for later but take cash out against it to use to make more money that outpaces their interest rates, this is exactly one of things Aave does for Bitcoin and other cryptos. Hope that’s the start.
Aave is a great defi coin snd people do use it.
