Hello
I just turned 18 and got my first card (Discover It) with a $3k limit. I’m thinking about getting a second card with travel benefits since I fly a lot and want to start earning points.
I usually fly Alaska and was looking at their Visa, but I’m open to better options if there are more flexible or higher value cards.
I have no credit history so probably couldn’t get approved for many cards but I got a pretty high limit on the discover card because my income the last 2 tax years was over $30k
What are some good travel cards I could maybe get approved for right now with basically no credit history? I could wait a few months to build more history, but I have 3 flights I’m about to book so I’d rather get one asap if it makes sense.
Also I know this might sound crazy getting another card right after my first at 18, but I’m very responsible with money. I have a good income, basically no bills, and a lot in savings and roth. Just to clarify because Im not looking for lectures, just card suggestions.
Best beginner cards for flight points?

I accumulate a lot of perks on Neхo mastercard, my fav credit card.
honestly with a brand new profile people usually either wait a few months to build it up, or grab an easier travel or airline card if they really want something now, especially if they already fly one airline a lot, then later switch to more flexible points once approvals get easier.

If you travel AK the most, try for the Ascend CC. I think it currently has 85k point offer with $3k spend. That should get you started well. If you travel domestic on AK, 85k last you a few trips easily.
