Someone in my DMs is trying to get me to go on a website in order to synchronize my wallet. According to Google, synchronization is achieved simply by refreshing a wallet when I’m connected to the internet, within the wallet app. Anything else is a scam, right?

Yes, it’s a scam
It is not a ‘synchronization scam’ per se/necessarily. (But it is a scam nonetheless.) Most likely the scammer and website are just trying to trick you in entering your seed phrase.
