I wish Canada was one of the affected countries. Then my employer would stop making me travel to The United Shithole of America for business. At this point knowing I’m going to have to spend money there — even if it’s not my own money — makes me want to vomit.

Title is misleading. They are not paying $15k. They are buying a $15k bond that kicks in if they overstay their visa. Essentially a security deposit that is refunded.
Still, we vacation in other countries most summers, and would not visit a country if we had to put up $60k for our family of 4.
