BreadPay Charging double for pay over time plan

hello all, i don't know where to go to ask, and google has been less than helpful, so im just throwing it out there and hoping someone can help me.

i am trying to use Breadpay pay over time to buy a purchase online from academy sports. the cost of my purhase is $213 after tax, so i figured that monthly payment wouldn't be too bank breaking.

however, i go through the prequalification, get all the info filled out, and now its trying to charge me $500 in total, with no explanation or reason as to why it has doubled the cost of the item ON TOP of the interest rate, which is applying to the $500, not the 213.

any help would be so appreciated, i don't understand why this is happening, or if this is just how they work. but having a $500 min is insane IMO
