My family and I (Navy) are currently stationed at a pretty remote base overseas with not many medical resources. My wife (the dependent) found out she was pregnant with twins and was referred back to the States for delivery since our base has very limited resources. I was authorized leave to travel with her as a non-medical attendant. I’ll be there for 30 days then head back to work while she spends the remainder of her pregnancy stateside.
Question: Is my wife entitled to per diem while she’s back in the states? The JTR seems to say so but my command is giving me the run around about it. Am I interpreting it incorrectly?
