I know that C1 can be very selective and deny people who have banked with other banks first, have great credit & good income. With these circumstances in mind, what have people with great credit and have credit cards with other banks done to get approved?

I applied? I don’t think most people who have those characteristics did anything special–what could you even do? Close all my other cards? Use the pre-approval tool and then apply if you want the card.

They have preapproval on the VX to make the process easier. Datapoints are pretty variable, and probably not worth formulating a game plan around. Just go through preapproval and see what they say.
