“Cutting” pre-made chocolate milk with 50/50 regular milk.

Growing up in a family of 7, my mom would but the pre-made gallons of cchocolate millk for a treat vwhen they were on sale but mix them with half regular milk to make it last longer.

We went through about 3 gallons of regular milk a week on average between all our cereals for breakfast, glass with dinner here and there.

As an adult I think about the lengths we would go through back in the day to get a "little extra" and how things have changed. Kids these days would never.
