Small win but I needed to share it somewhere. I started at 47k in credit card debt back in 2023 and as of this week I'm officially under 20k remaining.

I enrolled in a debt settlement program through Americor about 16 months ago after trying to do balance transfers and snowball method on my own for a year with basically zero progress. So far they've settled 3 of my 5 accounts and the savings have been real. Not gonna pretend the process is fun but the math is working out better than anything I tried on my own

The biggest mindset shift for me was accepting that my credit score was gonna take a hit. Once I stopped caring about that number and focused on the actual balances going down everything got easier mentally

Still got a ways to go but under 20k feels like a milestone. Anyone else tracking their numbers like this? It helps me stay motivated

Finally under 20k in debt for the first time in 4 years
