American Express just announced it's ending it's relationship with Amazon Prime Business. The card they solicited many of for, great benefits (5%, 3% for purchases made on Amazon/Whole foods, $250 gift card for Amazon to sign on etc……they're ending it and replacing it with a US Bank Card–anyone know what this might mean?
We’re reaching out to let you know that American Express’ U.S. Small Business co-brand Card relationship with Amazon is ending. Your Amazon Business or Amazon Business Prime Card will be replaced with an Amazon co-branded credit card issued by U.S. Bank. We expect that this will take place on August 14, 2026.
You’ll receive additional communications in the upcoming weeks and months regarding these changes, and more information will be provided in your next billing statement. In certain situations, your Card may not be replaced with a credit card issued by U.S. Bank. If that’s the case, we’ll contact you with additional details.
What's up?
American Express Amazon Prime Business Cards are ALL going to be discontinued.

It happens from time to time. Like the Costco Amex and Citi Hilton cards from once upon a time. I’m going to wait and see what usb does and then I’ll decide if I want to redeem my remaining points and cancel. I’ll probably then just snag the chase version
What was the difference between the Amex and Chase one?
What are the great benefits you speak of?
lol I just picked up this card a couple months ago bc it was a nice card to slide under the radar. No hard pulls and no effect on 5/25. Would prefer not to jump to the Chase version and eat a spot, but I have no relationship with USB so interested to see what happens.
Amex has been offloading a few of their co-branded business cards. First lowes now this…I’m curious why.
Got the email too. Supposedly US Bank is going to enhance the benefits so we will see how it goes. It’s my only business card so I’m not going to close it.
